No car? No trouble — and no driving after the sauna either. We have added more services on the free shuttle bus between Nagano Station and MATSUKAWAKAN. Getting here has become much easier, and coming to stay takes far less planning than it used to.

| By train (free shuttle bus) | Access from JR Nagano Station. Since April 2025 a free shuttle bus has run between JR Nagano Station and MATSUKAWAKAN. For details of the shuttle and how to reserve it, please check when you book your stay. |
| By train (Nagano Dentetsu) | From JR Nagano Station, take the Nagano Line of the Nagano Dentetsu railway and get off at Suzaka Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. |

From Suzaka Station, take a Nagaden bus and get off at the Yamada Onsen bus stop. The journey takes about 50 minutes. |
